Philosophy
The Nippon Paper Group is committed to helping preserve the global environment over the long term and contributing to the development of a recycling based society by carrying out its corporate activities in recognition of the importance of biodiversity*.
* Biodiversity typically falls into three classes: genetic diversity, which refers to the genetic variability within a species; species diversity, which covers the variety of species within a community; and ecosystem diversity, which entails the organization of species in an area into distinctive plant and animal communities.
Basic Policy
- Act to counter global warming
- Protect and develop forest resources
- Increase use of recycled resources
- Comply with environmental statutes and work to minimize our environmental impact
- Develop environmentally friendly technologies and products
- Engage in active environmental communication
Environmental Action Plan
In accordance with this Philosophy and Basic Policy, Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. and its group companies shall determine a practical environmental action plan and its implementation.
